Quality Assurance Programs

PRACTICES

Gemini Floral Partners, LLC uses “Best Practices” quality assurance programs which consist of the following:

Implementation of specific post-harvest fresh-cut flower treatments prior to and after packing all farm-made bouquets (flower packs) at the source farm(s). These practices include the approved use of floral preservatives and pre-cooling as soon as bouquets (flowers) are packed. Upon arrival in Miami, all bouquet (flower) packs are transported to our warehouse under refrigeration and once again pre-cooled before shipping to customers. All wet-packed bouquets are processed under refrigeration using treated water. Samples of each out-bound shipment are checked to ensure quality control and all boxes are date-coded.

PROCEDURES

Gemini Floral Partners, LLC follows strict quality assurance programs for all bouquets (flowers) received in Miami and shipped to customers from our temperature-controlled warehouse. All inbound product is transported under refrigeration from the airport to our warehouse. Once received, it is unloaded under refrigeration, checked for quality compliance, and placed in a pre-cooling chamber prior to being stored under strict temperature controls in designated cold rooms. Gemini Floral Partners, LLC uses “Just-in-Time” receiving, processing and shipping practices to ensure freshness and all boxes are date-coded.
